Each month we select one of our wonderful employees to go beyond their titles and dive into who they really are. This month’s featured employee is Dr. Neena Baghaie. We hope you enjoy learning a little bit more about her!
Dr. Baghaie grew up in Southeast Michigan then moved with her family to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2012 before moving to Cleveland. She studied for three years at the University of Detriot Mercy then four years at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine and completed her residency at Summa Akron City Hospital. Dr. Baghaie is a General Dentist at our Norton and Garfield Heights locations, and her typical day includes many root canals and wisdom teeth extractions, impressions, crown preps, denture deliveries, and her little free time is spent near the space heater in her office drinking chai! Her advice for new hires of Hudec Dental would be “don’t be shy. Nobody here bites!” The most important thing that she has learned during her time with Hudec Dental would to “Be open to any avenue of education. The amount of unconventional dental knowledge I’ve gained from my EFDA, Shelley Boddy, in the few months I’ve been with Hudec is ridiculous. She’s more knowledgable than any CE course I’ve been to!”
Dr. Baghaie’s favorite quote is from Gandhi “Be the change you want to see in the world.” and her biggest achievements would have to be her education because Dental School isn’t for the weak! In October 2019 she took a two week trip to Italy and went to Venice, Burano, Murano; Florence, Rome, and Cinque Terre. She has also been to Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan, and would love to go again soon! Her all-time favorite travel spot is probably Hilton Head Island. “Many good memories are made there each time I go with my family.” Speaking of her family her dad is a nuclear engineer, and her mum has a background in business. One of her sisters lives with her while she finishes up dental school and the other sister is at UNC-Chapel Hill completing her pre-med studies!
Dr. Baghaie loves to hike, run in the Metroparks, travel, and she really enjoys yoga and pilates! She also loves to read, knit, and go to the gym whenever she has spare time! She speaks Hindi/Urdu and even some french! Dr. is classically trained in the piano and studied it for 15 years. “I’ve got very long fingers, and can stretch to a 12th on the piano!” She also plays the flute.
